Microsoft recently announced new games to play for free on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 in April. The games announced are for Games with Gold subscribers. On the other hand, the PS4 and its PlayStation Plus service have been relatively quiet. So, at least for the month of April, the Xbox One and Xbox 360 are ready to compete with the PS4.

NEW GAMES FOR GOLD ANNOUNCED FOR XBOX ONE AND XBOX 360
Microsoft hit hard with their latest announcement, and here are the four new titles they've added to their April Games for Gold lineup. On the Xbox One and Xbox 360, fans will be able to play Dead Space and Saints Row IV for free. The former will be available on April 1, and the latter on April 16. Similarly, Xbox One owners will be able to play The Wolf Among Us and Sunset Overdrive during the month of April.

THE LATEST GAMES ALREADY FOR GAMES WITH GOLD
A few weeks ago, Microsoft announced three major titles for Games with Gold. Borderlands, Lords of the Fallen and Crimes and Punishments are the hit titles the company has already offered to its Games with Gold subscribers. Their recent announcement means that soon seven hit games will be available for free on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

PS4 HAS AN UNIMPRESSIVE SCHEDULE FOR APRIL
The Xbox One and Xbox 360 benefit from the Games with Gold service, and the PS4 from the PlayStation Plus service. However, for now, the only major game announced on the PS4 for PlayStation Plus users is Dead Star. It's a great title, but it doesn't come close to matching what Microsoft has done. The good news for PS4 fans is that Sony still has time to add PlayStation Plus games for April. For now, they have their eyes on Microsoft.
