When video game fans flip their calendars for another month, it means new games on PlayStation Plus will be released for free. Next month, two high-profile games will be in the spotlight: Dead Star and Zombi. The former is a video game that Sony fans have known was coming to PlayStation Plus for a while now. The second is an enhanced version of one of the Wii U's launch titles, ZombiU.

DEAD STAR LAUNCHES AS A PLAYSTATION PLUS GAME

For those of you who don't know much about Dead Star, don't worry, you're not alone. Dead Star is one of those video games that combine several elements of other games. You can think of it as a combination of RPG, co-op shooter, MOBA and top-down shooter. The key to this game, however, is its ability to accommodate up to 20 people in multiplayer. Don't worry about getting bored, as this game includes ship upgrades and skill trees to attain, no pun intended. Another notable fact is that Dead Star's developer, Armature Studios, is made up of many of the people involved in the Metroid Prime series. The game will be available on PlayStation Plus exclusively for the PS4.

OLD WII U LAUNCH TITLE COMING TO PLAYSTATION PLUS

For anyone who bought a Wii U, and if you did, I'm really sorry because you wasted your money, you probably remember ZombiU. It was a true survival horror video game, set in London. Basically, the PlayStation Plus version of this game, shortened to Zombi, will play in essentially the same way. The main difference, however, is that all of the Wii U Gamepad's functionality is gone. Throughout the game, you, as the player, are trying to ensure your survival against the zombie apocalypse. However, if you die, you must use a new character and start over. Although you can still recover your equipment, you must find the zombie version of your old character to get it back.
