Damn you Ed Boon, you just can't stay off Twitter, can you? For those of you who are big Mortal Kombat X fans, you know that Ed Boon can be a great tease. His latest tweet may have given away some information about upcoming DLC and the world of Mortal Kombat X is abuzz. So here are five things to keep in mind.
1. THE TWEET SAYS: SUB-ZERO AND RAIDEN
This news hopefully means that new DLC for Mortal Kombat X is in the works. Ed Boon sent out a tweet on Twitter, which simply said "Sub-Zero and Raiden". For all fans of the franchise, this is news because of the characters' connections to Frost and Fujin, respectively.
2. THE CONNECTION BETWEEN FUJIN AND RAIDEN IN MORTAL KOMBAT X
In the Mortal Kombat story, Fujin is practically Raiden's little brother. Since Raiden is the deity of lightning and Fujin controls the wind, they share a common history in Mortal Kombat X.
3. THE LINK BETWEEN SUB-ZERO AND FROST
Just like the two previous characters, Frost and Sub-Zero have a connection to each other. In the story of Mortal Kombat, Frost is Sub-Zero's apprentice. Then, in the game, she tries, against her master's orders, to kill Scorpio.
4. ED BOON HAS HINTED AT THIS KIND OF NEWS BEFORE.
For all intents and purposes, Ed Boon is a troll. This isn't the first time he's used Twitter to piss off his fans. Last month, a fan begged him to continue creating DLC for Mortal Kombat X. Boon followed up by typing "MKXXL" and also added a winking emoticon.
5. THIS TWEET MAY NOT BE NEWS AT ALL
It's possible that this tweet from Ed Boon isn't news at all and has nothing to do with Frost and Fujin. It could simply be a way of telling people that the hidden fatalities of Sub-Zero and Raiden have not yet been discovered. The problem is that only Ed Boon knows what he meant with his tweet.
