Video game technology has certainly evolved a lot since Pong, but one thing will always remain the same. Gamers love free games. Microsoft understands this logic and has shown it by offering free games on Xbox One Live this month.

MICROSOFT XBOX ONE FREE GAMES

April showers bring May flowers as well as some free games on Microsoft's Xbox One. Gamers had a chance to grab the March selection before it was replaced by the latest April collection, but those who missed it can still pick up Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. Xbox One and 360 gamers can also get Borderlands for free. Other free games, like Lords of the Fallen, won't be redeemed until April 15, so get them while you can. On the other hand, Supreme Commander 2 for Xbox 360 has already been removed. April is really what gamers should be looking forward to, as Microsoft has a solid schedule in place.

GAMERS ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO APRIL

Microsoft's Xbox One owners will be very pleased with the announcement of April. Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that they have officially added Dead Space to their backwards compatibility program. They also promised to make all Games with Gold games available on Xbox One. Using XboxLive and a Gold subscription, players can now get The Wolf Among Us, Sunset Overdrive and Saints Row IV on Xbox 360. The latter list will be available for download on the new systems through the new BC Library.

GAME OVERVIEW

For those of you who don't know what these new games offer, here's a quick overview. The Wolf Among Us is a violent and mature game from the developers of The Walking Dead. Based on the Fables comic books, players can expect a brutal and bloody game. Sunset Overdrive will also be available. Set in an open-world environment, Sunset Overdrive is a unique shooter with all sorts of crazy weapons and customizable abilities. Of course, these thrilling adventures are made all the more interesting because you don't have to pay.
