Thanks to the team of engineering students who make up the Virtual Nomads group, you may soon be able to play Grand Theft Auto 5 while on your bike. With Cycler's Hub, players can use virtual reality to explore the world of GTA 5, all while getting a workout. It's hard to believe, but your next cycling class could take you through the streets of Los Santos.

Virtual reality tour of Los Santos

With a virtual reality headset, a bike, and a copy of GTA 5, players will be able to ride around Los Santos. With the ability to teleport anywhere on the map, players can explore their favorite places at their leisure. An in-game mod disables all violence, so riders can explore without fear of being mowed down by Trevor Phillips.

Dust off your old bike

Cycler's Hub gives you a reason to get your old bike out of its garage. Virtual Nomads assures players that any bike will be compatible with their controller. Once set up, players will be able to explore the world of GTA 5 from behind their handlebars. The device's controls allow players to control their speed in the game, similar to a bike course. Virtual Nomads hopes to implement a rumble feedback feature that reacts to the type of terrain you are on in the game, adding to the virtual reality experience.

GTA 5 Biker Gangs

GTA Online offers hours of fun for players and their friends. Cycler's Hub seeks to expand on this concept by bringing bikers together, regardless of the distance between them. Friends who live hundreds of miles apart will now be able to race up Mount Chiliad together, or take a ride on the boardwalk at any time.

Extension to other games

Virtual Nomad's does not currently have a contract with Rockstar to use GTA 5 as part of its virtual reality device. Therefore, the developers of Cycler's Hub hope to make the device compatible with several games. They also want to release their own game for the device at some point.

Keep the fun going

GTA 5 is three years old this year, and it's still making headlines. It will be interesting to see if Rockstar and Virtual Nomads are able to strike a deal. The game has already had a long run, but bringing GTA 5 to virtual reality with Cycler's Hub, could really give the game some legs.
