Let's get one thing straight: FIFA 23 is not a horrible game. However, that doesn't mean the game is perfect, as it certainly has flaws. That's what I want to focus on, and here are ten absolutely stupid things in FIFA 23.

1. COLLISIONS BETWEEN PLAYERS

The FIFA 23 team tried to improve the problem of player collisions. Unfortunately, they probably ended up making it worse. Previously, if two players collided with each other, they would fall down. In this version, they stay upright, but neither of them ever gets the ball.

2. DEFENSIVE AI

Artificial intelligence can make a previously good game suck. This is especially true for sports games, and that brings me to FIFA 23. The defensive AI in this game can become downright infuriating with missed passes, own goals, and goalkeepers who send the ball straight to the opponent.

3. SETTING PARTS

One of the major problems with FIFA 23 is the set pieces and, more specifically, the lack of customization for them. In previous versions of the franchise, like FIFA 22, you could set customization settings for formations on corners and free kicks. This really limits the strategy you can implement when playing FIFA 23.

4. THE REFEREE

For some reason, the referees in FIFA 23 are as bad as the referees in the 2022 Western Conference Final. I swear that one time while playing the game, the official gave me a yellow card for breathing on an opponent.

5. CHANGE OF PLAYERS

For some reason, the developers of this game decided to fix what was never broken. Player switching was never a problem in the old FIFA games, so I don't understand why it was changed in FIFA 23. Half the time when you switch players in the game, you run into someone who isn't even in the same area code!

6. THE WARNING MESSAGE

In this game, if you get too angry at the game, you may get a warning message. You'll see it in your message archive, and it warns you, as a manager, to hold your tongue. You know, if I want to insult the officials for a bad decision, I should be able to do so!

7. LATENCY PROBLEMS

The one major thing that needed to be fixed in FIFA 23 was online play. Well, we can say that it was not fixed in the least. In fact, it has even gotten worse. Good luck playing this game for more than 30 minutes without connectivity issues.

8. THE REPLAY SYSTEM

OK, I've seen this goal enough times that we can move on, please! That's exactly what I thought when I played this game, because the replay system doesn't work. I'm willing to see replays of epic games, but not of a standard goal.

9. THE ONLINE COMMUNITY

OK, technically this isn't in the game, but it's worth mentioning. Sports games always seem to be the worst when it comes to the online community, but FIFA 23 takes it to another level. There are so many immature and arrogant punks playing this game, and it makes online play unbearable at times.

10. SKILL SPAMMERS

I'm going back to the subject of online gaming, and some of the jerks who play it. When I say skill spammers, you know who I mean. These are the people who do skills when no one is around, and it gets extremely annoying after five seconds.
