Gamers around the world have been enjoying the new Fallout 4 DLC, and no, it's not the Man vs. Machines DLC. However, it might as well have been called that! The official name is Automatron, and while Fallout 4 is a big game, no one will complain about more content. For all you fans of the game, here are a few things to know about this DLC.
1. THE STORY
Once you reach the minimum level requirement after purchasing this DLC, you will start with a level 15+ quest. However, the problem is that the story in this DLC is not the best. During your journey, you will pick up a distress signal that will lead you to a surviving robot named Ada. After that, Ada will become your companion and you will find yourself completing many quests to finally hunt the Mechanist, the super villain of the DLC.
2. THE CHARACTERS ARE BLAND
Unfortunately, the new characters in this DLC are not very interesting. This is especially true for Ada, as the robot is devoid of any personality. This may not affect some people, but in a game like Fallout 4, characters are even more important.
3. THE ROBOT WORKSHOP
Now we come to the main objective of this DLC for Fallout 4. Early on in the DLC, you'll unlock the ability to add the Robot Workbench. Here you can perform a multitude of tasks, such as customizing a robot companion, or even building one from scratch. Weapons can be customized, as well as the voice module, extremities and paint.
4. TWO TO FOUR HOURS OF CONTENT
Fallout 4's Automatron DLC can give you countless hours of gameplay if you spend them at the bench. However, if you just play the story mode, it will take you about two to four hours. That's not a lot of time for story mode, but playing at the workbench will make up for it!
5. THE PRICE
Finally, you should all be aware of the price of this DLC for Fallout 4. If you buy it on its own, it only costs $10. However, if you buy the Season Pass, which will include more DLC in the future, the price will be $50.
