The new April updates for Destiny have been released, but we can't help but feel a little dissatisfied. That's not to say that the inclusion of the Elder Challenge, the Shattered Chalice Strike, and the Winters Run Strike weren't good additions, but it just wasn't enough. Most Destiny fans will probably agree that the April updates did little to "refresh" the game.

APRIL UPDATES FOR DESTINY

Again, what has been added to this game is not necessarily bad. First of all, the addition of the Elder Challenge was a good idea. It's basically a redesign of Prison of the Ancients, which takes place in three rounds, each ending in a boss fight. Every Tuesday, this endgame activity will reset and wipe your cumulative score. The new and redesigned attacks that have been added are the Withered Chalice attack and the Winters Run attack, respectively. The boss of the former is Malok, a Taken hulk, and the boss of the latter is the Archon Priest.

DESTINY SHOULD BE INSPIRED BY FINAL FANTASY XIV

Obviously, Destiny and Final Fantasy XIV don't have much in common, except that they are both online video games. However, Final Fantasy XIV has had much more consistent updates when it comes to adding content. In the summer of 2015, they first released an expansion, then about a month later added their first new raid. Then, just four months later, they released their second raid. Finally, just two months ago, they added another new section to their first raid. Not to mention new dungeons, side quests and PvP additions.

IS BUNGIE FOCUSING ON THE NEXT DESTINY GAME?

At this point, one might wonder if Bungie is done with the first Destiny game? Well, back in February, on its official website, Bungie indicated that it wanted to offer a full sequel to the game in 2017. This is something that all fans of the game should keep in mind for the future.
