April 12 is a day that all Destiny fans are looking forward to. The reason is that Bungie, the developer of the game, is about to release a number of updates to the game. The official Destiny development team, on the official Bungie website, has gone over some of the biggest changes to the game's core weapons.

DESTINY UPDATES: AUTO GUNS

With the April update, a few changes are going to be made to auto rifles. Primarily, the team is trying to make the low rate of fire (RoF) auto rifles easier to use while making the high rate of fire auto rifles less powerful. Low rate of fire auto rifles will increase base damage by 2.3%, while high rate of fire auto rifles will decrease base damage by 2.5%.

FATE UPDATES: PULSE RIFLES

The development team is treating the Pulse Rifle update like the Automatic Rifle update. However, short-range pulse rifles will receive an even greater increase than automatic rifles, with a 3% increase in base damage.

FATE UPDATES: HAND CANNONS

The biggest problem with hand cannons, as the development team points out, is the lack of ammo. So, as you guessed, that's exactly what's improved with this April 12 update. While they didn't reveal the exact number, it was stated that all handguns will receive an increase in their ammo inventory.

FATE UPDATES: FUSION RIFLES

Fusion rifles are getting some technical improvements. Overall, the development team points out that they will be more stable in all areas. It was also mentioned that the problem with fusion rifle scopes unintentionally increasing the zoom will be fixed.

FATE UPDATES: SNIPER RIFLES

Without a doubt, sniper rifles are the ones that receive the most updates among the basic weapons. This update will add 2 frames of zoom time to them, reduce the Snapshot perk to 20%, increase the base zoom distance for short-range snipers, and much more. April 12 is never soon enough!
