Dark Souls 3 on Xbox One doesn't necessarily get Xbox fans excited. Some say that Dark Souls 3 on PS4 is better. How come? Aren't all video game consoles equal? Especially when it comes to a complex game like Dark Souls 3? There have been some reviews of the game from One players. And the opinions are mixed. Of course, the game is the same. It's still one of the most challenging, yet coolest games available on PS4 and Xbox One. But what harm awaits brave Xbox fans as they enter the Dark Souls series from Bandai Namco and FormSoftware?

Dark Souls 3 update

Are you ready to create your Ashen One on Xbox One? Dark Souls 3 is still the action RPG that has built up a following. One of the most challenging games on the market is now available for Microsoft fans. Dark Souls 3 marks the return of Hidetaka Miyazaki. This is the culmination of the series, so Lothric is about to be thrown into the apocalypse. But don't worry. You created your Ashen One character. You've drawn him and chosen the right skin color and clothing. It's up to you to save Lothric. Sounds intense.

PS4 vs. Xbox One

Dark Souls 3 was unfortunately mishandled by Microsoft. It took a once graphically sound game and made it blurry. This alone may make it better for the PS4, leaving Xbox fans unhappy. The PS4 version of the game runs at a resolution of 1080p. But the One version only runs at 900p with 30 frames per second. This causes flickering foliage, blurry mountains and pixel cracking on weapons. And the woes continue for Xbox fans. The 30 frames per second doesn't work at that rate consistently. It often drops to 25 and 20, depending on the scene in the game.

Should Microsoft fans turn to Sony?

The change in frames per second and 900p resolution may not be that big of a deal. If you're a die-hard Dark Souls 3 fan, you may be annoyed and want your money back. But if you're a virgin Ashen One, it may not matter. You may never have noticed until you read this article. Sorry, Dark Souls fans on Xbox.
